Job Description

Salary: $110,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in embedded systems or a related role
• Proficient in C/C++ programming for embedded Linux environments
• Familiarity with Yocto Project build systems on NXP processors
• Strong knowledge of audio/video codecs and streaming protocols
• Understanding of kernel configuration and driver integration
• Proven experience with Git for version control, including branching and merging
• Ability to create detailed technical documentation using tools like CAD or Visio
• Knowledge of compliance standards for embedded hardware/software systems
• Capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with technical expertise
• Hands-on experience with i.MX 8M Plus and Cadence Tensilica HiFi4 DSP is a plus
• Experience in performance tuning for low-latency AV systems is desirable
• Familiarity with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and professional AV transport standards is advantageous
• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• CCNA (or equivalent) professional-level networking certifications are preferred

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded platforms
• Integrate and optimize audio/video codecs, media containers, and streaming protocols
• Implement low-level drivers and middleware for high-throughput AV pipelines
• Collaborate with audio engineers to integrate signal processing features
• Debug and assess system performance using embedded tools and Linux applications
• Maintain source control practices using Git in a collaborative multi-branch environment
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for embedded electronics
• Engage directly in the electronics design aspects of projects
• Develop and manage the product feature roadmap and firmware improvements
• Produce comprehensive documentation for developed firmware with technical details
• Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in embedded firmware
